How Kimelo integrates with Odoo

Kimelo developed a simple integration with Odoo through its API. This document shows the steps to establish the API connection with Kimelo. Once completed, Kimelo will connect throughout the day to exchange the data necessary to power the Kimelo ecommerce experience.

How to prepare your system for integration

There are a few requirements for Kimelo to list your products, customers and ensure seamless integration. The sooner you address these, the quicker your store will be online!

Customers

Products

Templates and pack type variants. Kimelo supports **pack type variants for the same product ID, so the two pack types will show up as package choices on the Kimelo product page. If your product has two variants under the same product template, then we can map it to the case/each variations in Kimelo.

Currently Kimelo only supports the relationship between these specific pack types. We will separate other variants into individual products. Customers can still find and purchase them. They just don’t have the convenient case/each picker.

Catchweight in a future release. Odoo does not currently support catchweight. If unfamiliar, this is selling products such as meat and seafood by its actual weight, recorded at the time of sale. If you have this set up within Odoo let us know, and we can assess enabling it.

Images

If you have product images in Odoo, the Kimelo connection can import and use them.

If you do not have images in Odoo, or they are not suitable to an online shopping experience, you can manage them by importing an image list file through our Distributor Management Center (DMC.) We recommend:
