Overview

Kimelo integrates with QuickBooks Online with a click of a button. QuickBooks Online users can get their products and customers to Kimelo and orders into their QBO with little to no setup. With Kimelo’s QBO integration you can start receiving orders online without interrupting your daily workflow.

Kimelo QuickBooks Online integration allows for complete order lifecycle automation.

Setting up QBO integration

To set the QBO integration up tour Kimelo contact will send you a link. Once you click it you’ll authorize yourself with QuickBooks and agree for your data to be exchanged.

QBO Products

It all starts with your products. QBO Products are imported to Kimelo with the information that QBO can provide. The following are required for a Product to appear in Kimelo:

• It has to be active in QBO
• It has to be an Inventory Item
  • it can be configured to import NonInventoryItems - let your Kimelo contact know if that’s how you store your products
• It has to have a sale price - this will be used as a base price (more about pricing below)
• It has to have a name

Once a product has been imported to Kimelo, the data from QBO will keep being imported to Kimelo and will be reflected in your store.

However, if you don’t have some information in QBO e.g. an image, you can update it in Kimelo. This is quite important as QBO has fairly limited catalog management capabilities. We recommend enriching products in Kimelo with:

• Weight
• Catchweight status
  • If you charge products per pound but sell by case - this is for you. Tell you implementation contact to make sure prices are reflected properly.
• Dimensions
• Images
• Barcode/UPC/GTIN

The data that does not exist in QBO and is added directly in Kimelo will persist while attributes connected to QBO (like price) will keep updating.
